Please think very carefully prior to signing up for a limited package. In doing so, you could be liable for a massive Internet access bill, especially if you have a router or kids using the Internet.
There are two ways ISP's are limiting their products.
(1) Time
Time: Your monthly fee includes a set amount of monthly access free time, which once reached you will be charged per minute for internet access. Take for Instance Tiscali 50 hour packages. You get 50 hours (2 days) free. Once you have used your 50 hours, you will then be charged 2p per minute to use the Internet. This in itself sounds quite cheap until you work out the potential monthly cost.
(2) Data volume
Wanadoo, BT and other provider packages are set to bandwidth limits per month.
Please be aware that once your limit has been used up, you will then be charged per megabyte of data up or downloaded to the Internet. If you feel that if you fully understand how much data you use each month, and know that you will not exceed these limits then these packages are ok for you.
Bear in mind:
2 GB sounds a lot of data, but after a few hours on the Internet it can add up very quickly. Especially downloading software, games, large e-mails, viewing video and listening to audio streams.
We recommend a 15 or 30GB limit package
